When did you decide....what success is to you?
I was a single mom working 12 hour days plus two hour commute time for 19 years in a high profile, very stressful position at a 13 billion dollar corporation when I decided to leave. I walked away from a six figure salary with a huge benefit package for a new small town life in another state. I had reached my limit and the stress of it all was more than I was willing to bare anymore. I moved to Colorado and became involved with volunteer work then just stopped doing anything for a time. During that time I heard a motivational speaker say we are human beings not human doings. Prior to hearing this I felt I had to do something even though what I really needed was to decompress. It was then that I decided to just be and felt no pressure to have to do so I could justify my existence. Now I work part time at a fun little job with the mindset that I am being helpful to someone. That works for me now and the attitude of being has changed my life.
